An easy going latin flavoured piece that perks up in the middle section, where the tempo picks up slightly and there's a solo from the alto sax.

 

This piece is dedicated to my wife. I thought it was about time.

 

'Potrzebie' is a word I remember being used in 'Mad' magazine many years ago. Not sure whether it still is. Thought it would make a good name for a piece of music.

 

A relaxed jazzy piece, which is pretty much in two halves - the first half being dominated by a flute solo, and the second half being more trumpet and brass oriented. A bit of a jam, really. 

 

A downbeat piece for keyboards and brass.

 

A jazz / rock fusion piece in varying tempos, with a soprano sax solo towards the end.

 

I really like this orchestral piece. It was done some time ago, with a very basic setup, and when I played it again recently it was very tempting to think that I had to re-produce it. But I think it works fine as it is. The feel I was aiming for was sort of epic and science fiction, hence the title.

 

A short upbeat piece, with a vaguely African feel. With brass and flute.

This one took ages! I came up with an instrumental version in 2004. Then I came up with some lyrics in 2006. Then I finally got the vocals recorded in 2008. The singer is the great Ann Bailey. If this lifts the heart of just one person by just one centimetre for just one second, then job done.

Up tempo jazzy piece with a latin feel, featuring trumpet, brass, horns and a sax solo.
